Our Superb Trip to the Brooklyn Museum on a Rainy Day .
Our trip to the Brooklyn Museum rocked ! At the museum , we viewed various pieces of art from all over the world , some contemporary and some older art. Some of the artwork included wood carvings from Africa , art from India , paintings from Europe and a sarcophagus from Egypt . We even got a chance to participate in a gallery chat that the apprentices at the museum conducted . During the chat , we had to be in the mind set of a 10 year old and we heard interesting stories about the pieces of art . Coming down to the end , we were split up in groups and we talked about the duties of the museum apprentices and also about what we do at the Whitney Museum . Lastly, we got a chance to wander around the museum with the apprentices and look at the Scheneck Houses and other works of art . This experience was both enlightening and entertaining . Myself and my fellow YI members got a chance to bond with other teens like ourselves that do a similar jobĀ as us and who share the common passion of loving artwork .
Thanks for reading the BLOG & i hope that you enjoyed it .
